Marla is gone. Now the show can go on.
Bid farewell to Diana. She won’t work for Banana.
Let’s wish them all the best though they failed this week’s test.
Finally they were beat. Now I can sleep.
Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief and catch up on lost z’s. Marla who had long outworn her welcome on Project Runway is out. Allow me to say that one more time because it feels so good. Marla is out and she took Diana with her. Diana had the creative mind of a fashion designer, but not the cut throat attitude. It is always a bad idea to partner with the weakest person left. Lesson learned.

The additional challenge of marketing the day-to-night garments in a window display gave this week’s episode a little something special. While poorly executed, loser Diana’s use of crumled up paper was inspiring. With fancier paper and/or more purposeful crinkling, the display could have been magical. I am left wondering what Simon Doonan could have created.
Also of note this week is an interview on Queerty that Santino’s own blog provides the link to. I’m always looking for an opportunity change my opinion of my least favorite megalomaniac. When asked what designers he hates, he responded with a heartfelt answer about not bagging on other people’s work. Lovely sentiment. Wrong timing. Can we say hypocrite?
