The challenge on last night’s episode involved teamwork and lingerie. (Dirty joke intended.) Each designer had a chance to show Heidi sketches and pitch her a collection of three undergarment sets. Any contestant with his strategy hat on would have sabotaged his own work in the sketch phase. Being a group leader is the kiss of death; you put yourself at risk of being eliminated.

Daniel V., the youngster whom I dubbed the wildcard in my first Runway Report won. Santino, with his ode to Alps (right), and Daniel F., with his black lace three ways (left), both disappointed the judges. During the question session, Santino threw Emmett to the wolves (aka judges), while Daniel F. gave an oddly valiant speech sacrificing himself. “You can’t go wrong with Lovemaking,” Daniel Franco dared to say about his collection this week. Unfortunately, he was incorrect. He was out and I was actually sad to say farewell.
